It is important for us that you make an informed decision about staying with us at Unembeza Boutique Lodge & Spa. We encourage you to read the below information before making your reservation. ROOMS

17 Double Rooms and 3 Family rooms (sleeps 5).
Villa Mbali and Mhlabeni Boutique Villa can be booked for exclusive use families or groups. Villa Mbali can accommodate 15 total guests and Villa Mhlabeni can accommodation 12 total guests.
We accommodate kids aged 6 years and older.
All rooms have fixed extra length king size beds, with mosquito nets.
Please book a Garden Suite or a Premium Deluxe Cottage with an additional bed should you require a twin room configuration.
For an additional charge you can request an extra bed for a family of three (Garden Suites and Premium Deluxe Cottages only).
Six rooms are interleading and suitable for families with young children.
Rooms have complimentary still water, air-conditioning, hairdryers, bathroom amenities, mosquito repellent, Nespresso machines and tea making facilities.
Private safes in all rooms.
Our rooms and public areas are non-smoking. Guests can smoke in front of their rooms on the patio only.

MEALS

Onsite restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Full bar available with an excellent selection of wine and beverages.
We cater for vegetarians.
Lunch options available at ZAR100 to ZAR175 per person.
Dinner requires pre-booking at ZAR475 per person for a 3-course meal.
Children’s Menu available for kids under 12yrs at ZAR250 per meal.
No self-catering or own drinks are allowed on our premises.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Onsite Spa with TheraNaka products and treatments available. Wide range of treatments to select from. Please note we have no couples massages available.
Main lodge and each of the Villa’s have their own pools.
Viewing towers with stunning views of the bush and the mountains.
Secure parking available for all rooms.
Complimentary high-speed internet.
Check out time is 10h00 and check in time is 15h00. Check in after 21:00 is unfortunately not possible.
Unembeza is located in a low-risk malaria area. We suggest all our guests contact their local health care practitioner for advice before travelling.
We have access to 24 hour emergency medical support should it be required.
Security is strictly monitored through a security gate with 24 hour access control.
No pets allowed.
Unembeza has limited availability for wheelchair guests, however there are restrictions and it is important to contact us first before booking for a wheelchair guest.

RATES

Rates are per room per night incl breakfast (maximum 2 guests).
Additional child / adult – ZAR850 per night (garden suites and premium deluxe cottages only).
All beverages, gratuities, laundry and extra activities are excluded from the rate.
All tariffs quoted are subject to change, without prior notice.
Rates quoted for confirmed bookings will be honoured.

PAYMENT POLICY

Online bookings for 2 nights or longer require a 50% non-refundable deposit.
Online bookings for 1 night stays require a 100% non-refundable payment.
Balance is due 42 days before arrival.
Special promotions and discounted rates require a 100% non-refundable payment.
Credit card payments are required for all online bookings.
Only VISA and Mastercards are accepted. No EFT option available.
Failure to pay upon booking will result in immediate cancellation of your reservation.
No notification will be sent upon cancellation.
Guest can settle their bills at the lodge with South African Rands, VISA and Mastercard.
We accept no foreign currency, Diners Club or American Express cards.

Eastgate/Hoedspruit Airport – 12,5km from Unembeza – transfer cost ZAR850 per trip one way.
Kruger Mpumalanga Airport – 153km from Unembeza – for transfer cost please enquire.
OR Tambo International Airport – for transfer cost please enquire.
OR Tambo International Airport – daily shuttle service to and from Hoedspruit.
Hoedspruit Town – pick up service for all shuttles ZAR250 per trip one way.

FAQ's

CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD AND DRINKS?

Unfortunately you are not allowed to bring your own food and drinks. We are a fully serviced hotel and no self-catering facilities are available.

WHAT KIND OF ANIMALS ARE ON YOUR ESTATE?

We are not on a big 5 estate which means that our greenbelt area is excellent for cycling and walking. With a bit of luck you might see animals such as giraffe, duiker, impala, waterbuck, wildebeest, zebra, kudu, nyala, bushbuck, warthog, bush babies and more.

WHAT ARE THE RISKS OF MALARIA?

Unembeza is located in a low-risk malaria area. We suggest all our guests contact their local health care practitioner for advice before travelling.

I HAVE ALLERGIES, DO YOU TAKE THESE INTO ACCOUNT?

We take food allergies very seriously and encourage our guests to inform us before or upon arrival about what they are allergic to. We will be sure to take this into account.

ARE CHILDREN WELCOME AT UNEMBEZA?

Depending on the room type we accomodate children of 6 years and older. Please enquire.

ARE PETS WELCOME AT UNEMBEZA?

No, unfortunately pets are not allowed on the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate as visitors.

IS UNEMBEZA SUITABLE FOR PEOPLE WITH PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS?

The venue is not very suitable for people with physical disabilities. Please contact us to discuss your needs.

WHAT IS THE BEST TIME OF THE YEAR TO VISIT UNEMBEZA?

Hoedspruit is an excellent destination to visit year round. The South African winter (the European summer) is dry and not too hot, the African summer (the European winter) is warm and has a period of short rains.
